I realy like this piece and I think that it shows off your technical skill, but I can't help but feel like something is missing, something that stops it from jumping from 'Great' to 'Epic'.

Gorgeous...just gorgeous...

Excellent work yet again. This time the piece feels put together much better. 

I will crit on a couple small things only because I know that you'll make the best of the crits in later works. This piece is definitely worthy of being left alone.

The first thing is the negative space in between the arm/sword/thigh of the angel guy. The main problem with this is his arm sword and thigh outline the very island itself. The result is a slight misunderstanding of what exactly is in that negative space. Looking further into it, I notice shapes and coloring not seen anywhere else in the image. Which could also have been the problem. Or at the very least contributed to it.

The other issue I have is the lack of a focal point. When I first look at the picture my eyes go directly to the giant beast's face. Shortly after they wander to the wing of the angel guy. Which isn't particularly a problem except that my eyes have nowhere to go after that. The way the eyes focus, they block out the remaining image once they get to the wings. And since all eyes are on the wings, they will want to follow them however, following the wings leads to the end of the image. So, what I'm saying is that one really has to work hard to admire all the great things in the picture. Perhaps using the islands in the background as sort of a line for the eyes to follow back to the center of the picture would've been useful. I'm pretty sure that's what I meant by the composition aspect of it last time. Maybe I should've been clearer. XD

Anyways, as I said, excellent piece. If it wasn't so good I wouldn't put forth so much effort into critiquing it.

The other wing is broken, the stump is that two yellow feathers thing on his back.

B.O.B: Duly noted  I am happy with his perspective (his legs are spread kinda wide) :D, though I see what you mean, his back leg places much higher in the shade. Yeah he is got some inhumane qualities and anatomy.

[B.O.B is now on my hate list ] I changed the foot angle to compliment the leg direction.

one thing i will say is it looks like the angel only has one wing? maybe that is the case in which case i would add like a stump of some kind.. still amazing though.

It's fantastico! I love the textures on the big monsters fingers, and especially the rocks in the foreground. Not to mention that the scene is terrific....and now it's time for me to be an a-hole:

   Ahem, despite it being top notch, I see a couple of issues which may, or may not need work. The angle through which the angel is in, is confusing me. The position of his legs seem to tell me that he is facing side view, but his back tells me otherwise. Also, does he only have one wing? Or is the other wing hidden, or wrapped up by rope? I know I'm especially picky about this, but the leg's anatomy is bugging me for some reason. It's really prolonged in the shin area. I'm guessing he's half man, half eagle/bird? There are others, but to be honest, it's just nit picking. I love it, and you should be satisfied enough to call done. Great effin' job, fav'd....

The artwork on this, WOW once again amazing! Instant fav and 6/6 that extra effort really paid off I didn't think it was possible to better the prior image, but i was wrong... SO WRONG.
