Wow this is amazing!
With the limited palette, you pulled off the shading amazingly!

Big thanks to all your cool comments
@Mathias : No I didnt use a blend mode for the vertical light beam, at the beginning I've wanted but the 16 colors mode of Paintshop doesn't allow me to use layer so I've made the light part first and finished by the shadow of the beam pixel by pixel hopping to doesn't make any mistake.

Really like this thUg. You;'ve got a lot of atmosphere and detail from such a small amount of pixels.

Nice. I like the way the ship looks like it's got a city on it. Strange, my favorite part is the tractor beam thing...it's all awesome though.

You've done a great job to render the mood of the scene, you can almost feel you're there! Probably because of those nice cool colours and the point of view you chose. The design of the spaceship is quite original even if I find it a tad bit messy. I like all the small lights though :)

very nice moment....or not....depends on a big beam hehe
those lights on ship are magnificent. it feels great.i dunno
about color of a background it feels like a daylight.

I'm rather impressed by the original ship design and the palette really does look marvelous on it. I also like the rugged dithering on the sky in the background; it's as if the ship's anti-gravity engine is distorting the air around it, refracting the light.

Wow I missed this one!
no crits, I love the mood of this, and the design is very original! Even the beam is interesting..
You got my vote!!.. (if I can find how to do this..)

This is excellent work.  I think the white/blue/red colors just blend well together with the scenery.

Ooo, nice. But I don't quite get it how you can fit those 15 colours in there.

OMG. I love the colours for this. You've created a really nice mood with the characters in shade like that. You also have a very unique design for the spaceship. I like.

i love it! i think the ship does look good imo, the colours and linework look great!

user
Mathias (Level 4 Shichikyu) at 3/23/2007 12:00:15 AM

Well, the ship is certainly different, and I agree it could look a little more like a far out type of aircraft. The people rule! I don't see how you guys AA so well, it must take a lot of practice.

Did you use a blend mode for the vertical light beam?

user
iSTVAN (Level 8 Cannibal) at 3/22/2007 9:05:46 PM
I quite like the ship because it is different. Great colour and shading. I'm sure I've seen that mountain on a postcard or something.

user
AwesomePossum (Level 1 Thug) at 3/22/2007 8:44:33 PM
I love the mountains and how you made the people. Bu I agree with you on how the ship is odd. It kinda looks like a mini city to me.
