Inspired from a stained glass of St Médard church named : "Saint Michel terrassant le dragon". A very good representation of Good against Evil. Ideal for the weekly challenge

Well I'm working on a new picture really inspired from the stained glass of St Médard church this time, not a simply color reduction.
Here is the WIP
and the last render
I must still work the Dragon and some graduate colors in the background.

jalonso > Thanks a lot for your message. I will make another entry about "St Michel defeat the Dragon" with the same challenge restriction. That not important if my entry is not in the challenge now. But I must repear the mistake. Thanks to all to trust me.

Seems like a mistake from lack of knowing the pixelart rules and will not be held against you by me. Further, your quick and honest replies and action more than shows that you meant no ill.

jamon > I'm really sorry for the desapointement jamon, forgive me please, I really didn't know this technic was not autorise. That's why when I saw MichaS works was disqualified I answer for my entry.

ilkke > Thanks

Guts, you were brave to admit your error.
Reference is when you look at another picture, not when you resize it and reduce it's colors.

Guts (Level 2 Corporal) at 5/16/2007 6:13:42 AM
I contact administrator to delete my entry from the challenge. Didn't really know this was not autorise. When I see some pixel art I figure there was other peoples who proceed like this. I will know for the next : no reference picture to realize a pixel entry, and a WIP to atteste the creation.

Here is a picture of the stained glass :

If my work made prejudice like MichaS works, I understand you want to disqualified my entry, that's why I posed my question on the thread to illke. But I really doesn't know it was not autorise, and I write that my entry was inspired from the stained glass of st Médard church. I hope I'm not a renegate at your eyes Be free to delete my entry if necessery. Oh !! and ... how in the futur can I make a WIP ... sorry I didn't konw this technic before. Is there any program to do one, or can I just use Image ready or something like that ?

jamon (Level 8 Marshal) at 5/16/2007 3:28:27 AM
Can we see your WIP for this picture...together with reference...

Mille (Level 5 Killer Klown) at 5/14/2007 11:07:10 AM

St Michel terrassant le dragon.

I think that no translation is needed...

St George killed a dragon too, but I think it' s another one...

I like this medieval style.

Ooh, I love the whole stained-glass feel you accomplished. Its great that you managed to keep the colors separate and difinitive. Im still fighting with my colors bleeding together.

in Spanish is called "San Jorge"... exelent work on such clasic image. i'm faving this, and also voting for it.

Guts (Level 2 Corporal) at 5/9/2007 8:59:48 AM
In France he is called "St Michel", but in english I thinks it's "St Michael", no ?

grave (Level 8 Marshal) at 5/9/2007 8:57:51 AM

Isnt it saint George in english tho? Or is that another one :p

Really good picture.

Kobun (Level 1 Rookie) at 5/9/2007 8:57:38 AM

He's smart to kill the dragon while its still a baby and easy to kill i suppose.

Nice approach to the challenge with the stain glass window.  It looks great
