A demon inside :: Pixel Art Detail

I really like the colors on this (I seem to be a sucker for purple-and-orangeish, some reason), and it's mildly creepy in a cool sort of way. The way the reflected light in the eyes flickers reminds me of flames, which is really neat. <3

The anymation is pretty cool!! and you didnt move anything! just color switching!

it's like one of these tricks... that's probably one of the most evil images of this challenge, since it's that evil  that you had to remove it because it actually hurts you

Yeah, there was a step when I chose the whole image and dithered it to black like I did for the previous "Eye Ache". I thought it would be boring to do that again and continued experiments. One of the was to make a transparent dithering and copy it several pixels down.

The result was very unexpected for me. It was a serious pain to look at (here's the step, watch on your own risk ) but, hey, that's an evil, right?

Anyway , it was too hard to look at so I decided to remove the duplications for several places and probably gone to far (seems like none noticed that effect except you and the other guy in my livejournal).

It seems to me that on highlights you overlayed two identical images with vertical offset of three pixels to get that trademarked eye-strain look of yours.
Am I right?

Hehe it was called fade_out, as far as I remember. I was even trying to code it for Speccy a while ago :)

ilkke, you are right. There were lots of things I was thinking of to pixel for the challenge. But everything looked weird with the "good" palette and only silhouette looked not bad with an "evil" palette.
