The dark, tangled web of branches and the smoothly shaded purple on the leaves is what caught my eye. I enjoyed giving this one a long inspection. :D

Elk, I feel as if the leaves are in the post-green, soon to fall off stage where they go from waxy and oily to dry. I would prefer dry though. ;@

Wow, it's amazing.  Only 21 colors... I'm working on my first Pixel Art, I have 19 colors already, and mine isn't nearly as well blended.

BlackFang, It has many disturbings in it to declare it in classical harmony unpleasant looking=)
Thats a well known neighborhood of green and red, disproportion between trunk and leaves,    curveneess of trunk and squareness of the leaves crown, compositionally point of interest located right in a middle where actually nothing interesting, trunk is volumed while leaves crown is flat and so on.=)

I would just say, that I personally don't like the peach colored thorns too much. They don't blend well, in my book. It still looks great though.
    But heed my warning, old man: Soon, I shall trump thee into oblivion, in future challenges!!!...or Violin building...or whatever competition you prefer...you've been warned...

This is a real lovely piece. There's not much more I can say about it that hasn't been said but, the depth created in the middle of the gnarled mass is most impressive. Fabulous work!

seriously though, it really reminds me of st0vens work, for some strange reason (havent analysed his pieces, nor your work so I can't tell why). That's something great of course ;)
only one very small critiquepoint: the area where the second right top leaf (I really hope you understand which one I mean :D), hits the rest of the plant is a bit too obvious dithered (compared to the rest of the piece), you could have used the next darker leaf shade to make it less obvious. otherwise really outstanding work :)

I really don't get why you would complain about your abilities to pick colours earlier. Your choices are spectacular, and reek (in a good way) with style. This is just a plain awesome piece, and a very interesting fantastical tree.

you fooled us again.

While striking looking there is a slight 'squareness' to the leaf canopy that seems very inorganic. The starckness of the trunk in the front yet the fullness of the rear/interior leave work is just hard to believe (even in a fantasy tree.) Additionally the scale represented by the trunk is quite different than the leaf size.
I wanna like it but somehow this fails for me. I see a highly developed sense of space in all your pixels and here its all missing .

Colors, pixelling is beyond reproach

This is beautiful, the only thing that seems to bother me is that around the bottom left side of the image there are a few bright pixels that are kind of annoying.

The PA you make never ceases to amaze me.

Wow. This is amazing. The only thing I notice that might do with improvement is that all the leaves are facing us, pretty much. The one drooping away from the viewer is so much more interesting than the others, and though it might not be as readable seeing leaves from the side, some of them should be angled towards us less. But as far as technique and concept go, this is superb.

The texture of those leaves is just so... realistic, pure exellence on detail you got there! Awsome work as always :)
