Okay, to cut a long story short, this is a part of an ad campaign pitch to Puma I was doing in January 2007.

The campaign was supposed to be centered around Puma's classic Suede/Clyde sneakers.

Unfortunately, the whole thing never came to life, so I'm just publishing it as part of my portfolio now.

Impressive design, I like the whole bubble idea and the creams work great with the browns

to my defense, I'll note that this particular piece was pitched more as an indoor store/showroom mural, as opposed to print ads, otherwise I'd go with the same funky colors as in #1 :)

hope that make sense, sorry for not clarifying it right away in the description.

also, am I right at all to put these in my portfolio? they were axed by the client in the end after all. or is it ok as long as the quality is there? I need some real PRO advice (and by that  I mean, I need some more help on portfolios from you specifically, Jal) :).

Very nice in the design layout sense. Market research and countless focus groups however have discovered that when marketing 'action' products the use of neutrals is counter productive and actually is overlooked by the average consumer. Add that the product is also shown in neutrals would make this a failed insert. It may be possible that using bright copy and coloring the product in brights could save this as a portfolio piece...advice ;)
