The contrast between the fine detail of the city and the lack thereof in the rest of the image really works here.  The distortion of the face through the glass is also a nice touch.

@Monkey'o Doom: Right, antialiasing was added really quick, thus I missed some parts. I applied the already used colors for AA thats why the colors aren't really intermediates.

@NiceIdion: I see what you mean. You're probably right, but the area for the city is really small this way too, i wanted to use as many space I could.

@Rynen10K: It's water with bubbles. Or the bubbles are generated by the city. Or they are just small escape bubbles because the city is on fire. Probably the letter.

well, my entry could be creative, but this one kick its ass. i'm voting this one for great justice. not to mention, as ikke said below, its a great interpretation of the 'underwater' theme.

Love it.  I have a crit however.  The buildings look to be too close to the outside edge of the glass, as does the surface area of the water. It makes the glass appear to have no thickness. The biggest offender is the small blue building on the lower right edge.

The fingerprint is a genius touch.

Again a very creative and original take on the subject. Love it!

This piece is great, but I think it would do better if the antialiasing was more consistent and the colors used for aa were a bit more intermediate than they are now. But the inspiration and idea you have here is brilliant, and aside from the antialiasing, it's technically perfect. Keep up the good work.

The only thing that looks strange to me is the amount of bubbles in there; makes it look like its boiling, but by the looks of the sky, it could just be a very hot day :)
