Meet MicroFont. He's the world's tiniest font. I made him when AdamPlays made the MiniFont. I wanted to see if I could make one even smaller and I did. All the characters fit into a 3x3 square. Some are a bit of a stretch, like the semicolon for example, but if you use your imagination you can see them. This was a lot of fun to make. See if you can put it to good use, I've been using it on my previews. Here are all the characters in the order that they appear: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ 1234567890 ! Ok, this is the smallest normal font :p and yeah, some of them really don't look like their larger counteraprts, but it was the best I could do. I was careful not to repeat characters. For some of them, like the ones mentioned by AdamPlayes, you'd have to recognise them from seeing them before or they do look like blobs. THe worst have to be # and ;t to me at least.

a 2x2 font exists, it was made by some guy demonstrating how to use the banding on LCD monitors to create shapes smaller than pixels

Lol I wrote a long comment, but I actually deleted it before posting. I think this is great afford and nice way to do 3x3 letters, but there is not much of use of these. Many letters are just impossible to read when not in a clear/long/whatever word.. I don't blame you ooshmaster..
But anyways, I understand you had fun doin these, so ok, I accept it. Rated 4/5, cause it's not perfect but most likely the best way to do 3x3

The letters are very legible for me. The most problematic characters are 5, 8, #, $, and &. If you were to type $853 it would just look like a bunch of blobs. But great effort!

Now make a 2x2 font. =P
