Back in 2000, when I had my dreamcast(alive :'(), I visited one of my friends to spare some time playing games as usual. he told me about this awesome ship game with that japanese name. At that time, I already was a big fan of Shoot 'em Ups, or SHMUPs. When the game started, I couldn't but fall in love at first sight.

Several years later, while abusing of deviantART's search function, I found this wonderful piece, and suddently I had a vision: a 2D version of that wonderful ship called IKARUGA.
