The Nurikabe, is a youkai (Japanese monster) wall that blocks the way for travellers at night, and you can only get rid of it by knocking on it.

This will probably sound familiar to those who have played Okami or Mario64, as they used monsters inspired by it (Blockhead and Whomp respectively, if I recall correctly).

I just love the colour. Great look of texture and what I think most impressive, is how the centre has only on colour, but that does not affect anything. Impressive!
