I love you for the WIP animation :3 Too bad techonology hasn't thought of a pause button for gif's yet.This has such fantastic lighting effect on it, correctly lighting textured things is something that hurts my brain the most.

For some reason, though it's really not much like the descriptions, it makes me think of the Wood Between the Worlds. Beautiful piece, very atmospheric.

I love what you did with the doorway, and the little black bird on the top branch is a masterful touch. It looks so much different than it did at the forum, and I think the flopping of the image is a nice touch too.Great job!

Oh wow. This is so beautiful! I love how you have used different dithering techniques to add texture. I also really, really like how the branches sort of form a roof. It sort of feels as if a sad, yet cosy feeling lingers about this picture.

the details are quite small, I would like it more if it was bigger. It would be good for a DOS game (320x240)... and you'd stil have lots of space left over ! and the palette would easily run on an old machine.

Personally I would say that there is too much of a difference between the darkest grey and black.

Beautiful palette, beautiful use of dithering, and wonderful feeling of depth. The glowing light in the distance suggesting hope and sanctity the other side of this eerie forest is so very welcoming. The reflected light on the path in the foreground is a lovely touch too. My only crit would perhaps be in the bark texture on the foremost tree. the oval knot-like part just seems a little too large and regular, but its very minor compared to the overall effect.

yea awesome lighting and atmosphere, i have some trouble with the path tho and the plant-things hanging down from the treetops, they are all the same...a varity of them would be quite nice (i hope you understand what i mean) ! but otherwise, really good
