A character from a game project I have, specifically an engine to make your own beat-em-up games. Think RPG maker or Murgen for Final Fight. There's going to be a demo game packaged with it so I had to name this guy, one of the stock heroes... Dirk Blazer doesn't sound like a porno name does it?

The design is inspired by the early 1990s and late 80s, as with a lot of the other designs I'm working with. The beat-em-up genre was really thriving back then, so that's part of it, and the b-movie legacy of beating up a bunch of thugs in the streets is part of it as well. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, his sunglasses will stay on no matter how many times he gets punched in the face.

His stance is inspired by Hack (aka Norton) from Brawl Brothers (aka Rushing Beat 2), a neat game.

Thanks to FrankieSmileshow for helping me out a lot with this fellow (I'm still a pixel rookie). The little details that make this work are his doing!
