It could always be a sprite for a frontal rpg like dragon warrior. :FThis piece is really cool. You really created a sense of atmosphere and emotion.

The challenge cares about the rules. What the hell kind of question is that? No one questioned how good of a piece it was.Oh, and I don't know about light backgrounds, but the transparency doesn't look bad on dark. Such as the theme I use.

you could pick out one of the characters, add transparency around it, and have that as your entry...then submit the whole scene by itself as a separate piece without having to have the transparent parts.

the rules should cover all loopholes such as these. I myself had a few questions, so I limited myself severely (so I wouldn't be kicking myself later)
EDIT: Oh yeah, very great piece, I like the glowing of the pumpkins.

I'm not fussed if it's rejected from the challenge (then I can get rid of the trans, which didn't work as well as I had hoped). I know I was pushing the requirements and it doesn't quite fit the spirit of the challenge, though I am firmly confident that it does fit within the letter of the the challenge as written. It did say sprite, and not scene. I guess this depends on your definition.In defense, it asked for transparency, not transparent background.
It does have fruit/veggie head and humanoid body, though the presence of several key figures is confusing it.
