In fact, there are already several official bomberman games for mobiles.
ALL of them look crap, not even on par with the old games, let alone with this.
WTF! Seems hudsonsoft is just selling the licence to half-assed developers instead of making the games themselves.

hah! im loving it.  Could use a bit of a better separation between arena and exterior, but you're good enough at these that im sure the integration was your intention, so i don' know how adamant i would be about enforcing the division.

Noveroth: thats partly why i did the mockup, i saw some screenshots of the DS and upcoming mobile game and they dont look at cool as i could have wished.....still better then bomberman zero though :/ posted a link to screenshots of the mobile game in the description.

I love the feel and style this piece Exudes... I've been playing a lot of Bomberman DS.. And man if the graphics were this good, i'd be playing more.

on second glance, i agree with darien, a little explosion love would really polish this one off.

This looks great, but I think the explosions look too flat in comparison with the blocks

It seems you put the wrong time again when editing the blocks (as it is back to 1:64)
But looking nice overall.

Lovely colors and all.  Ground colors remind me of globulos.
Too bad we don't see stuff from you more often. Guess you're too busy grinding the grain :D

Power-up bombs could be distinguished from the real ones by a different animation.

Excellent work ! I like the rounded aspect of the walls, the brightness of the bombs and the smoke effects ;) The players characters are cute too !

Nicely done. But the powerup bombs looks too similar to the real bombs. otherwise great work. Ehmm... except the timer... 1:64 ???

I used to play this game EVERYDAY.  Awesome job.

THE BOMBERMEN DON'T LIMIT THEMSELVES TO A MERE 60 SECONDS PER MINUTE.

Could've sworn there were only 60 seconds in a minute.  Apart from that this is really good. I think the smiley face bombs read ok.

F*k, this is beautiful. That's the first thing i thought when i saw the preview. I agree with ViC that the face bombs are hard to distiguish from the normal bombs, i'm guessing they're powerups? Neway, nice one!

The face on those bomb-powerups are hard to read on 1x... at least for me
Anyways, great work, as always :)

superbly done, looks wonderful in your style.

My only gripe would be that the side walls are the same as the ground; might lend a bit to confusion in the heat of battle and such. Perhaps just a different texture to separate elevation change, or perhaps maybe water (as if they battling on an island?)
