Forgot to comment on this.. When i saw it on Pixelation it became instant eyecandy. I just really love it, excellent work. Not so keen on the symbol in the bottom centre, mainly the white outline i think.

@Fakta: when i saw the darker gray edit for the lower levels i thought it looked too much like water. I personally have minimal problems with the sense of levels. :)

I love it, but I still think you should have used a darker gray for the lower level. There's so much visual information here that the eye doesn't have time to figure out what level things are on.

I just love how you have used the 16 colors from C64 palette.
Style of game just remember me the old good Chaos Engine from the Bitmap Brothers, really nice mockhup!
