This is my vista challenge entry, done entirely on ms paint ( vista and xp). I will be remaking this piece with my own custom palette later. 23 colors ( reminds me of the movie 23 ). the remake will be 32 i think. thanx for all at the forums, even if i didnt apply ur advice. i lack the time and patience.

you are right. Im not saying im happy with it , im satisfied but not happy.
but i cant pixel right now. im luck to have even written this message from my friends computer.
32 is an estimation, not a set figure im just saying it is the max i will have.

I really don't think that so many colors are necessary even with the Vista pallete. 32 colors in a new one seems like a lot. There are a lot of proportional mistakes like the fish and the chest, etc. The dithering is really bad. More could have been added to the background.

that what i had in mind metaru. im going to redo the whole thing with my own colors, hopefully no dithering this time.

I don't believe this was ready for the gallery. the idea and composition is good, but the use of colors sucks except for the fish(even when the fish's anatomy is wrong). A.B., don't get anxious with challenges. these are made to provide an 'excuse' to improve your abilities. in my own, truly own opinion, i would take this out of your gallery and rework it with your own colors. a well achieved and refined image can give you more satisfaction than any generic green ribbon you could earn with this.

I really don't like the blue as the fish's highlight color.
The red coral looks nice, but I think the seaweed on the treasure chest is overdone.
Also, you should give the background a watery feel, instead of just a blue color.
But overall, this piece is nice.
