This spiderman reminds me of Erik Larsen...(and that's not good.) I like the ol' spider slim but it's nonetheless good pixeling.

you made spidey bulky!:D
your grasp of anatomy is nothing short of amazing.

Ah yes I remember the high heel version :)
This is an excellent piece and I can appreciate it myself enough only now that I wade into the spriting myself.
Lovely work and I somehow like this size more than what you usually do but that's just a matter of taste I guess...
Keep it up!

looks cool to me. Reminds me of an old spider man game sprite. Except with more detail.

Can you draw the alien symbiot spiderman?  This one is the best. I just like the black spiderman better.

iSTVAN:
thanks so much for all that C+C!  Most of that stuff you pointed out was mentioned at pixelerate, and I have made an update on him - i'll post it up here a little later.  as far as the arm goes - yeah, your right.  I hardly ever do small pieces, so this was mainly a practice to see how precise i could get with anatomy with a little amount of space. As a result, things dont look as good as i had hoped such as the limp arm.  meh - i tried.

Spidey:
uhh... yeah - just keep on doing your thing...  I wont bother ya.

Everybody else:
thanks a bunch everyone for your nice input... if this sparks any interest this piece originally was going to be a ninja and was almost finished that way, but then it turned into spiderman.  I'll post the ninja if you want.

Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can, spins a web of any size, catches theives just like flies, look out here comes the spider man.   Is he strong Listen Bud, hes got radioactive blood, can he swing from a thread, take a look over head, hey man man, here comes the spiderman.  In the dead of night, at the scene of a crime, like a streak of light he arrives just in time.  Spiderman spider man friendly neighbourhood spiderman, wealth and fame hes ignored, action is his reward.  To him life is a great big bang up, wherever theres a hang up youll find the spiderman

Lovely piece! Awesome colours, sweeet pose and great muscle defination.

Its hard to find anything wrong with this...but I'll try. No matter how much I look at it, it still looks like Spidey is wearing a high heel! I'd fill in the gap between the ground and the base of his foot, otherwise he looks slightly draggish or need of an orthotics! Infact the more I look at it the more the far leg seems out of place, as if the shading has brought it forward too much, placing it parallel with the other leg. Weird I reckon..

Ialso find his right hand and arm seems to look a little awkward, as if he doesnt know what to do with it, being so muscular and heavy. The hand itself actually lookes quite small compared to the other signature pose hand. I wouldnt know what to do with this, as its already quite tight.

Really enjoying your work, I just didnt feel like I earned the look without trying to help in some way.

I love your massive framed Spider-Man.  Much more intimidating than the old fashioned skinny version.
