This is really, just, wonderful Adam.
Only problem at all that I can see is that the red crystalrocks are receiving blue reflected light when the area they're reflecting from is yellow?

iLKke (Level 7 Mass Murderer) at 1/12/2008 7:35:08 PM
All the BG's are kewl, it seems that this one got to be the representative.
My only crit was  the backdrop-y nature of the images, but since they ARE backdrops, I guess it doesn't really matter. This one has the 'bravest' colors, so maybe it deserved it's rating.
You know that the coral-looking rocks are the only thing happening here, everything else is salad. Hope to see more from you.

I love the style and the colours!

MashPotato (Level 6 Made) at 1/10/2008 9:54:23 AM
Crisp and fun.  Spiffy

countach (Level 2 Petty Officer) at 1/10/2008 2:59:05 AM
I'm loving the colors.

macula (Level 6 Hitman) at 1/8/2008 9:18:37 AM
That is a very nice landscape.

Flarfy (Level 4 Deputy) at 1/8/2008 5:13:53 AM

I'm in love with the red rocks. They are both rocky and crystal like which make this piece very interesting. Though I would not be surprised if a landscape like this actually existed

Edit: But I don't really fancy the wavy highlights on the sand. Generally the sand is too simple compared to the amazing rocks.

The B.O.B. (Level 10 Master Sniper) at 1/7/2008 10:59:22 PM
The angled rocks and wiggly sand designs make this a very fun piece. Not to mention, it looks so cleanly pixeled. However, the clouds seem too generic to go along with the rest of the groovy textured scene. The smallest cloud is slightly evenly distributed along and outside the two moons, along with the other clouds following it's similar shape around it, giving it a mirrored type look(though it obviously isn't). I'd experiment with some more bold swirly type cloud patterns, but not too much, as to detract from the scene overall.

Great job, and wonderful stuff, though. Please...submit more junk-funk for us, or allow us some brain intake for our zombie bellies as we hunger for your artistic...ness...

Looks very interesting.

AdamAtomic (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/7/2008 7:55:44 PM
Thanks guys - and yea the foreground was left deliberately blank for foreground terrain and entities...

Doppleganger (Level 5 Rokkyu) at 1/7/2008 7:40:11 PM
Top-notch style. Some of the curves could use some AAing and the foreground could be a little more interesting but I do like it just the way it is as well.

Adarias (Level 7 Colonel) at 1/7/2008 6:37:52 PM
morg- i assume the foreground was left empty for the player and his opponent(s) :P

Ails (Level 2 Quiet One) at 1/7/2008 5:37:56 PM
These rocks are amazing, and the curvy lines are really well done. nice work dude

Morgan cook (Level 4 Deputy) at 1/7/2008 5:02:43 PM
Needs something the foreground, something like a broken truck or a skeleton or a person.  Btw it's great

jalonso (Level 11 Godfather) at 1/7/2008 5:00:15 PM
The best of the bunch by far. This one tells a complete story, kudos.

Malor (Level 3 Sergeant) at 1/7/2008 4:53:34 PM
oh wow, super clean style you've got here. Kudos. 6/6 and a favorite to you sir.

Fool (Level 6 SWAT) at 1/7/2008 4:32:52 PM
Cool backgrounds=) Love that one the most, very stylish rocks.

Adarias (Level 7 Colonel) at 1/7/2008 4:32:29 PM
ok that's fine just let me know when it comes out and i'll find an official screen to use.

AdamAtomic (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/7/2008 4:24:16 PM
Adam - It's kinda like Scorched Earth but more siegey...can't say much more!

Adarias - I think that is OK, just it is for a currently unreleased game, but the clients are usually pretty cool about that.  I'll let you know if I hear otherwise...

Adarias (Level 7 Colonel) at 1/7/2008 4:01:14 PM
I would have loved just a little edge to separate backdrop from background, but i do like this a lot.

because it doesn't tile I assume it's for a fighter or something?

also, textbook application of temperature recession - do you mind if i save it with your name to show people for that purpose? it's always good to have "living" examples from the world.

AdamPlays (Level 6 SWAT) at 1/7/2008 3:58:58 PM
Nifty, the rock design is solid.  What kind of game is it?
