I made this as part of a space themed art exchange based on the person's character. This is the main part of my "gift", her character is a dark elf. One of the things the person liked was Barbarella, so gathering up all the themes from posters & whatnot, I wanted this to be recognizable as Barbarella. However I wanted to keep her in a breast plate (as her character wears plate) and had her using an electrified mace since her character uses maces. I made her first then did the background. Really happy how the sky came out but not so much of the explosion/fire, but I had to get it done by last night to turn it in for the exchange.

The sky really is beautiful. Skamocore, to me the AA on the arm is not AA at all, but rather the glow from the explosion behind her. That's the first thing I thought anyway. I really like the landscape as well, looks very extraplanetary.

my big problem with this is that it seems she was originally antialiased for a white bg...the AA really stands out in her boots and her arms

aside from that good looking piece...the sky is really lookin' amazing :D

update the preview! It's terrible compared to this!

The dithering is really good ... the rocks in the background ... I get the impression of people for some reason. Like sitting people ... it's odd! Really good work!

The hair on a dark-backdrop does seem rather flat; but overall, very nice.

Wow, excellent dithering! The background would have to be my favorite in this piece. It looks very nice, good job. :)

wow kendi O.O You just keep getting better and better, girl :) Personally do I think the explosion looks cool, maybe not that realistic but the colours and the whole think looks great! Yeah, I love it!
