nice dither work ... where the clouds meet the sky is kind of hard-lined and could maybe use a little blending!

Whoa this is sweet. I can olnly suggest making him in full plate armor so it doesn't blend so much.

I agree with Hatch, it's really hard to tell what the royal guard exactly is. But apart from that I kinda like it.
The mountains look nice.

Readability is kind of an issue. His pants and shoes really blend with the mountains. Cool otherwise!
