i would say that there is a point when you make these pieces for the rest to see your skills or to make them just for your own amusement. I personally believe that progress must be a reflection of the first. why? because pressing yourself too much in order to improve your skills leads to desesperation, then it leads you to frustration, and finally to quit. I haven't worked on a commercial project for that. not because i don't want, or can't(i know i can) but just because at this moment is when i feel that my pixels are mines, are a way to express myself, and not only a tool to show my abilities of color picking and pixel placement. one must always remember the 'art' part of Pixel Art.

As i said, its all about practice, but also, its all about enjoying it. All you have to do is to believe in the heart of the pixels.

That's true, but because it's a neverending learning cycle it also means that you're as good AND as bad as you are at that moment.

There's place to improve, but also to get worse. The way I see it is that you'll always learn, thus positioning myself always at the lowest possible step of the neverending ladder (so that there's place to improve, but not to get worse).

To be short, I think the pieces I make suck (hehe so there's room for improvement) then again, pieces can't be good or bad because it's you who decides is the piece is finished or not.

it only deppends on how much you want to improve, and how much effort and practice you put on it. seriously, its all about practice. don't be afraid or discouraged, and you'll see the results.

Has already been done
Thanks for the positive comment though, I'm still a bit insecure if my work is at that level I want it to be.
