Trying to get the correct angle of her face was a pain in the a***!! it's the McCurry photograph! I've seen the original print and it's spectacular. nice idea and rework of the photo. I like it a lot. very original. just a very small thing you can improve: there's something strange with the lips, maybe too much contrast? dunno. btw great job

That was one of my favorite photographs.

This is so cool. It's true though, we don't know anything about her. But the strange beauty of her eyes remains.

@Jal/Expand: I read an article about the National Geographic trying to find her location along with a more recent photo of her. Her face shows a hard life, but those eyes are still there.

I recognized her immediately. Very nice job.

btw, we do know her name and story. She is now in her 40s and married and fugly.
National Geographic did a whole thing on her last year I think.

Such the famous face, great pic to use. I recognized her immediately and must say that your attempt at the intensity of her eyes is great with this palette. That photo is all about her eyes and their depth...anyhoo, great job :)
