I know, i know... I don't like hair (dithering, saturation).... Face - i wanted to:
-face look soft and light
-sepia effect... I wanted the tears look saturated only.

I don't like smoke from the tears..

Sincerely - I'm not proud of this work, but of idea...

The AA could use work (don't band it, don't AA 45 degree angles, etc) and hue shifting would help a lot.   It actually took me a second to realize what I was looking at, as the face is just one unified mass.  I also agree that the dithering is a bit blatant.

In my opinion I think you could of got something that you wanted without ditheriring..
