Yeah,
my first submission here on PJ, even though I have an account for more than two years already :P

Obviously for the ongoing challenge.

Like the use of colours, dithering and feel. Shadows don't match lightspot though. Nice overall anyway.

@Badassbill
You are probably right on the tomato, but I think the pear looks actually not that flat.

@ptoing
Yes, I tried ;) .But the brightness of the colors is a bit unbalanced in this palette. And no, the blue doesnt work as a bridge here ,imo.

@crooks4hire
Yeah, but I like shiny stuff :P

Nice to see you uploading stuff.
I second the uploading of old stuff, man. People could still stand to learn from t\your older pieces.

I don't know about the purple used as an in-between, seems too harsh. I guess that's not much your fault as the palette choice.

Really enjoying the leaves.

Very nice as always. Of all the artist I've seen that started out at pixelation you're the only one whose style seems really influenced by Henk nieborg, and thats a big compliment from me as he is my favorite pixel artist.
My only crit has to be that the top left leafs and wine seems to lack depth compared to the rest and as it's against such a dark background just there it stands out too.

user
crooks4hire (Level 1 Rookie) at 11/10/2008 9:42:21 AM
My only crit is that the blueberries look kinda radioactive due to the glow on the apple. Maybe tone the glare down a bit, other than that, I hope to aspire to work of this caliber

sehr sehr geil. leaves are shweet bla bla, only thing im not too fond off is the dither but that's just me.

Nice use of the colours. The only thing I could crit is that some places could use some more aa. Like the yellowy orange to the dark red on the shadow. That could be done with the brigther orangish colour. Or in places the dark green and purple could be bridged with the blue, no clue how well that would work tho. Chances are you tried :)

Brilliant work really.

Badassbill (Level 10 Maniac) at 11/9/2008 2:52:33 AM
My only crit is that the shine on the pear and tomato make them seem flat or oddly shaped, because the shine is curving in an arch upwards instead of downwards (which would follow the fruits shape). Great use of the palette, especially on the leaves.

I really like this style. Good job :)

Really impressive use of the set colors, fair amount of them all. The most unique so far.

@Opacus/TomF/tomic
Personally I hesitate a bit to simply repost my older works here. But let me see, I could probably post a few of my best here.

@Photocopier
Are you sure? I know the shading make it look a bit bumby, but thats more a stylechoice to make it more interesting to look at.

user
tomic (Level 11 Admiral) at 11/8/2008 4:08:06 PM
