Tried to learn a new pixel-technique tonight. A little more "scenish" style. It took mye about the whole night (sleep is for quitters) to get the hang of it...
I decided to keep the color count relatively low so I limited myself to 20 colors.

Mushrooms are fun to pixel.

(This was just a "test" so I didn't bother with background or anything else to fill out the picture)

Really? I probably messed up the settings when exporting it and restricted it to 18 colours before and just realized it. Either way I came back to see it again :3

Det är inte menat att den ska ha über-skarpa konturer. Jag försöker uppnå något mått av realism och saker i verkligheten brukar inte ha så skarpa konturer.

This looks amazing, technique-wise -- like oil pastels. It doesn't really look like a mushroom to me, but that might be the reference more than anything else. (;

Yes, I fired up PS myself to see, and it counted 20 for me.

CrisNMP: Strange, Grafx2 said 20. I have to check again.

Now I have checked and counted them myself. Conclusion: Photoshop lies.
