It's a little known fact that the high mortality rate of princesses kidnapped by dragons is not due to burns, being eaten, or as collateral damage from rescues gone awry. No, the majority of princesses die from acute cases of boredom, as dragons insist on playing chess until they win, and dragons, even Shrewd ones, are incredibly poor players ;) A late bday gift for my buddy Buloght (http://pixeljoint.com/p/4993.htm), who introduced me to pixelling, and has always been a source of encouragement and inspiration :D Happy belated, Bullo! nothing short than amazing! I love their expressions - she seems bored, while the green scaled firebreather looks like he's having a hard time xD

if I may nitpick though: I think there are slight readability issues where the wing meets the the torso. ( where you can see the back, where lower wing line intersects with the shape of the back)

This is SO Amiga-ish! Colors and rendering style remind me of Darkmere/Stormlord (both Mark K. Jones games). Some details of the dragon are less than perfectly readable, but otherwise - freaking brilliant!

the only nitpick I can think of, is that the sky looks somewhat "empty"?
or maybe it's intentional? :] it gives a feeling of being on top of a mountain or smth like that :D dunno
