Redhead :: Pixel Art Detail

I must agree that this piece isn't the best you've created and it feels like it's been made within a few minutes (let's say 10 to 15). Still.. a great piece of art isn't all about your abilities with drawing and coloring/shading, etc. but the ability to create something simple that has a message.

In short:
- Idea, perfect. I like the expression a lot!
- finishing... terrible. If you had spent 10 more minutes on this piece it would be awesome!

Haha, no, I surely do not believe this is my worst piece ;)

Anyway, the way I hope I can be the same for others (I hope I can use the right words this time :) ) is that if others see this, they see that if even I have uploaded things like this having in my mind that its good enough for my gallery, they can get themselves to believe that even if you sometimes produce things like this, you can still be a good artist. Hopefully even that you can learn from your mistakes in the past. Just as I have learned a lot of thisone :).

This is not a question for more crap, nor am I proud of this, nor am I going to remove it, because I don't want to erase my history :). (check out my deviantart scraps gallery :p)

Am I a that respected member? I believe not. Just being the most active (according to the memberslist) does not mean I own, get or earn respect that much. At least thats what I believe.

You like to think that you can do what other good artist can do compared to what they upload. I agree with that. But you hope you can do the same for others????!!!
So now your saying that those that look up to you should be motivated to make something as (sorry to say it) crap as this?

I'm sorry, someone as respected as you should either revise this soon or delete it. I've looked at your gallery and this is probably your worst piece.

I might be a bit harsh though and don't think that something like this should of been accepted in the first place. Mainly due to the stabdared YOU set.

I am not. I have been motivated by seeing so many great artist still upload things I can do.. I hope I can be the same for others. However, this is of course not an excuse to keep on making crappy things, only to not undo things I have done :)

 Get rid of this! NOW! Its really undermining the quality of your gallery!

 Why would that be weird? I can still draw bad things much easier than good things :)

Is it me, or do other guys not find the expression that funny? I mean like WTF? Your lines are all messed up. Colours seem bland, and it looks like a messed up penis.

The face is very funny.  I can't tell if it's scared or just upset...lol  It reminds me of a big toe thats been stubbed.  Very unique!

I think this piece and the two before it have really been below the standard that you've set yourself. It seems as though you've started going backwards. I want to see more work tfrom you that is the quality of a 2nd -Place-Getter. Everyone knows that you have the potential, we've seen it, you have the pixels to prove it. You have been improving a massive amount recently, that was, until you submitted these last few pieces. It seems that you've really been letting your guard down recently...

In terms of actual C&C for this piece, your colour choices don't seem that great; there seems to be far too much saturation, maybe try toning things down a little. Keep playing around with the colours a bit more, I think you could come up with something more pleasing than this. I also don't understand your usage of 'sel-out' on the sides of its face, if you are using a solid, consistent background, why not just AA the creature to the bg? Also, I think you should be paying more attention to your lines, I've seen you tell many new members that they must clean up their lines, except in this image the lines seem very sloppy and haphazardly created. I know you know the theory, but you don't seem to be applying it in there recent few submissions.

I really hope to see some more awesome work from you in the future, stuff that is as good as your dancer, if not better! =)
