Is the hat made of plastic? I used to wack the full value range wherever possible. I think though it would actually look better if a black hat only used the black and dark grey color. The rim shape for the hat is bad. You should be able to draw these things well since they are simple shapes. You can break rules of construction to make a piece less stiff but I don't think you're achieving this here. His body lacks volume. Maybe because you shaded it so wrinkly.

I feel he needs hair.

You should draw what he is pointing at (you're lazy :P). What about a sign that says "women get the vote".

@gumol: No, I think that the arm is the correct length. The hand may well be too big, though. I was trying for a sort of tilted body, righ arm foreshortened and left *almost* pointing at te viewer. I obviously got confused :P

don't You think that his left arm is a little bit too long? or maybe it's just the size of the hand, I can't really tell what's wrong :P sorry for my nitpicking ;) - it's very cool nonetheless :]

Really well done!  Love the sensitive use of colour in the face and the monocle is a great addition
