I really don't like the shape of his face. It looks extremely flat. The lighting in the water is good, but on the boat, if that was the only light source the inside of the boat should be darker.

Very pleasing pic. I like the way you merged the water and the hair. My only crit is the bucket on the boat - the perspective feels a little off.

Great Piece,, amazing execution & idea!!

Really neat piece, and a lovely idea.  I agree with the others about the lack of contrast, but that's a hard thing to get yourself to do sometimes.  Also, I feel like the water should be more glowy around the glowing face, but then that could be a personal thing.  Otherwise, I think it's really cool!

Very interesting. And I agree, the lighting here could've been so much moodier, but I think you were afraid to obscure too much in shadow. Too bad. Still looks really nice anyway.

Yep, the boat should be darker, also if we imagine the light source is higher, so it lights the boat inside still the character in the boat should cast a shadow. Anyway I like it for the amount of work you put into, good job.

Mmh I admit that the inside of the boat must be darker... But it would be so hard to change it now.

And yes the film is good. But no as good as those you have quoted because it more a tale for children.

Looks scary =o Very nice pixelin' though, especially on the boat. I'd like to point out that if she(?) is the only lightsource, the inside of the boat would be dark.
