Top Pixel Art - October 2009 (#5)
Aha, monthly number 5, good job. Technically though, if this scene is on the moon it's not "moonlit", like when the moon reflects light at earth. Maybe it's earth-lit, if the earth is reflective like the moon. With all of our water I'd think it would be.

Nice colours, as per usual, It's nice to see a pastellier explosion.
It could use some work in areas like the legs and craters, but its above average.
looks like kid book where they cut everything out of colored paper. nice look but not my cup of tea. i like the little alien. isn't the moon sand like (not like carefully laid garden path)
I liked it when you had the nebula clouds in the background, but I guess this is how you wanted it. Nice job.
Very nice red lasers and explosions.
The flash light isn't so pleasant, the perpective is off and the astronauts quite clumsy... Could have been worked more.
I reallly don't like the leg popping out on the left of the image. It doesn't match the rest in design or style.
That said, the rest of the piece is very good. Especially the tripod on the right.
Composition bores me, but I do like the beams very much.

The composition is a bit meh, tho.
While I like the colors and textures, the overall composition seems a little off: my eye keeps jumping to the bottom of the piece and staying there.
"War of the Worlds 2 - Tom Cruise bites the dust" :) Cool stuff...and since it's "final" perhaps I shouldn't mention that I can't help thinking that a slightly different tint to the moonsurface might help separating it from the machines...if one would like that!? 
I feel there is quite a bit more that could have been done to this, but it looks great as is. Good job Dex
its definitely my favourite piece you've submitted but it still feels lacking. a more dynamic angle would've done wonders and the space dude seems too noodly and cartoony
I'm noticing improvement with each piece you submit, keep it up. 
Cool piece, def reminds me of that piece from iLKke. There are a couple things I could crit, but it definitely looks finished, and you're prolly done with it. Sorry I wasn't at pixelation while you were ^^ The gray palette rocks.
Looks awesome man great job, you may leget the things I said but consider it for next time bud.
