Just looked through your stuff and you are very good with the iso pixels. Some nice designs and repoductions :)
Though I could not help to see the right leg issue as well, and the "rightleghaters" are right, it is too thin.
I made an edit to illustrate dl.dropbox.com/u/15588722/PJ/balamoot_samson.gif
Basically when rotating angles in iso you have to stay inside an iso projected circle, which is not what you seem to have done when constructing the base size for the leg. Technically the foot also is a bit too short in the other angle (side length of foot) but that is minimal and thus does not jump out really.
Excellent stuff. The amount of variation (often, most lines in iso art are parallel to the "usual" 2 across-1up lines) is amazing.
Thanks for the comments, dudes.
2 Delicious: You're talented enough in your own style, pal.
2 LuckyF: I've never played this game, buddy. )
2 Gecimen: I've played this game. ))
love isometric art .... especially ones with mechs ... ..... Really great pic....
Wicked job, as usual! Wish I was nearly as talented as you with isometric pixels.. (I'm horrible)
Especially for the rightleghaters: I see the point, thanks. But it is a matter of design, bros. And look at the left leg of "Samson"! It doesn't look thin, though it's the same detail in other angle....
Your iso work always gets me excited, thanks.
Great characters and poses and the mech is tasty!
Another stunning piece fav'd.
When I first saw it I also noticed the same problem as ProgZmax did (i think) It looks like the ankel/heal of the mech needs to be thicker. http://tinypic.com/r/2jb8cih/7
Shit, I wish I could draw something like this. I have some serious problems with perspective.
GREAT piece.
Good that you like it. Thank you all for the commentaries.
2ProgZmax: Could you express your concerns about the leg more clear?
2Paulo Peres: Usually "Follow me" vehicles are really tiny, pal. )
2Mis-BUG: glad to read this from you, buddy.
Good work here! Reminds me of the Mech-suits from avatar, or the Mech Heavy Bots from Mass effect 2! Nice!
I want one of these on my desk!
Ah I don't know why but the poses of the two guys near the right foot are looking great...
Great job!
Just the truck in front the robot could be a bigger.
Congrats!
This is great. The characters in particular have loads of personality for iso. The only problem I have is the heel of the right foot on the mech; something just looks 'off' about it, like it's a wing or something flat without depth. Other than that I really like what you've done here with the shapes and colors. 5/5, pally.
Thanks for feedback. ptoing. I really do appreciate it, but a new version of that stuff is to be posted soon. And... I usually use iso-guides to avoid the things you've shown. I guess the "thin-leg" problem is just a lack of the armor in the bottom of the legs.
