Woah, uncanny. I had really never seen you 20x20 people, and ironically my actual references look a lot less like my piece than yours those. Here they are:

But, for real, the similarity between your 'old man' and mine creeped me out a little. Just weird.
Well, anyways, I'll be sure to check on your stuff for future reference, whenever I feel like doing more sprites in this aesthetic. Thanks!
this looks really similar to the ones i made few years ago, except some of mines are just 4 colors and 20x20. What are your influences? because they are REALLY similars! XDDD... btw, about the size and colors.... 16x16 is a challenge for details and graphic systhesis.
Anyway, here is some of mines... iloveui.com/up/char.png
Thanks for the kind comments! I'm currently working on more. Specifically, I'm trying my hand at doing animations for the thief character, expect to see more soon!
@failureboy: I'm not sure making the legs thicker would go with the aesthetic I'm going for. Making them one pixel thicker, and trying to keep them outlined, would mean they'd become huge black blocks, and I'm not sure how well that conveys the idea of legs, specially when trying to create a walk cycle. I promise I will experiment, though. Thanks for the crit!
I like them and would enjoy seeing more. One thing: might some of them be better with thicker legs (at least the thief)? I'm sure at that size one pixel makes a big difference. I dunno. Only crit I could think of.
These are nice. I'd love to see more, and a scene for them.
Really readable, despite lots of details (especially on the old man), even on 1x...
Very well done!
I like them!
