"Have you ever danced with the devil on a pale moon light?"

Loved the first movie, so I decided to due something on one of the coolest villains in D.C. comics( and cool villains are very rare to find in D.C.), The Joker. I tried to make look kinda' crazy and stuff, but I think he looks just about the same as every body else interprets him through their works. Oh well, at least I'm helpin' the Joker machine.

As far as time, it's been on my computer for about one week, but hours worked on it go for about 2 days worth. Very fun to do. I also noticed that after doing this pic, it kinda' looked alot like my other pieces. Kinda weird, like I have a certain style or something.(Not that I'm the first or only person to do it in this style with fat black outlines...and not to mention some sloppy dithering, and AA'ing...)

But after it's all said and done I'm very happy with the final outcome. So tell me what you think, love it or hate it, I'm willing to listen.

@Ben H: Yes it is his middle finger, and yes, it is most definitely too long. It's a fairly old piece. I may decide on updating it, do to issues brought up by you, and countless others...I'm a flawed artist, what can I say...

Great work!  I actually prefer your pixel version than any of the usual comic stuff...more personality I reckon.  Is that his middle finger curling around the back?  It might be a little long. :)

Oh jeez - great job on the face and I really like the different colors used on the fingers holding the card - it gives the piece a mysterious feel to it - great job this is amazing!

Love the excellent contrast and color choice of this image. It doesn't use as much dithering as I tend to be drawn to, but the mood really makes up for that. Great use of negative space too. It doesn't bother me that there is a lot of black in this scene. Well done!

I think the sense of light and shade on the face here is really lacking. There's no gradation between tones where there ought to be, and it doesn't seem that you've looked at the difference between form and cast shadow, and that makes it look fragmented and overstylized. Sense of drawing's pretty good, but all-in-all, the composition and color job leave the piece feeling unfinished.

I love this darker play on the Joker, even though he was a pretty dark character to begin with! I mean, clowns in general were always pretty, err, scary. Awesome job throughout.

This is awesome, it reminds me of Ghosts'n'Ghouls for some reason.
Particularly the line art.

If you eased the dithering on the card, like made some of the straight borders more curved, that would fit in better with the rest of the pic.

Not my kind of thing, I've never been into darker art like this (not including being dark as far as concept goes), but it is very well done. I am especially impressed by the tangling of the hair. Nice work.

I find it funny that you are just now noticing that you have a certain style.

Anyway.  This is flippin' sweet.  True, the hand and card could be improved, but I wouldn't go as far as Alex.  Some people just don't recognize style when they see it...

personally, i just dont like this. The face is poorly done in my opinion...it would have looked alot better if you just left out the whole left half of the portrait. The playing card looks like its a shiny printed napkin rather than a playing card and the thumb seems to just....be there. where is his hand?
