 Wow, this is really different, I like the preview as well as the large piece c: Especially the sideways shading of the blues in the sky.

This software (not hardware) video mode.

It consists of two standard screens (15 colors and 2 color 8x8 pixels per cell), which are constantly changing. As a result of 102 colors in the palette, and cell size 8x2 pixels (using another software trick called multicolor).
 
Indeed these images flicker on real speccy, but it's not so bad when viewed on a LCD TV, and just as there are several software techniques for reducing the flicker.
 
All this runs perfectly on the original Spectrum with 128kb of memory (ZX Spectrum 128 and ZX Spectrum +2 / +3 by Amstrad).

 You can't really call this "speccy"...

Not sure a real speccy48 could actually display the picture like that, I don't remember the speccy palette having a real orange per exemple... I suppose it use flickering screens... so on a real hardware this would be heavily epyleptic to watch.

But otherwise nice picture.

Love the organic style on the trunk. The use of black reminds me of Oys' c64 stuff.

I find the small cottage a bit distracting though... Otherwhise a great picture. Making graphics for the Speccy is a true bitch.
