I actually went for a very surrealistic look for this pic, since the song is about a heroin addict. The shirt was originally pale blue with purple stripes, but I found that it looked far more interesting when it looked like there was nothing there but the stripes. I may edit this to make the stripes wrap all the way around.
I like the face, especially the eyes, though the preview doesn't do it justice. The shirt... hmm, since you're going for a black shirt with stripes, I think you should choose a different way to outline it. Right now, it doesn't look like he has a torso at all--the black shirt blends into the black background too easily.
Funny--I was just thinking about that song. Been on a Foster the People binge since this weekend.
