Aw this is adorable, and it really inspires me to try something similar! ^^
I'm with Joe a bit here. I'd add a little more contrast to the foreground. Otherwise this is quite moody and charming.
Very nice! I like the scene, but the colorchoice in the different layers of the background creates a somewhat flat sensation.
Outline on the sword greatly increased readability!
And well, same comment as RedKnight, what I meant is that it looked flat. :)
If you don't want them to look to close, you could have the grass pop out down, instead of up, maybe?
ohhhh on this one I was planing to add that in the BG like the one next to barrel to left (except I'd add more of those, on the piece I was just showing one of each different objects I was thinking of putting in),
I didn't want the mockups to have too much alike since the colors are already same :)
Your other piece is a perfect example of what I meant, 3D grass, with blades of grass popping out of the terrain! : )

Added the outline to grass :)
Hopefully the full outline made the sword more readable :)

@Redknight91 I made a edit following your and Ellians critique, I'm not sure if I understood what was the issue with the grass, but I think it's same as Ellian stated? I fixed it (added outline) :)
The tree, I made the roundish silhouette on purpose, to make it less serious and realistic.. So I'm keeping the tree the way it is
Awesome clouds! And the roundish silhouette of the tree doesn't bug me at all, but maybe that's just me.
That's quite an improvement... looks lovely.
Although the earth looks slightly off compared to eveyrthing else, and the grass is the only thing in the whole piece that lacks an outline. Also, the sword is barely readable too.
Clouds are really wonderful, and the trunks of that tree is really well made.
Awesome palette!!!! I love this, but some thing are bothering me!
The tree is awesome (expecially the trunk), but the outline of the leaves is too circled to be natural, a tree should have a silhouette made by the points of the leaves sticking out, like this http://cdn.planetminecraft.com/files/resource_media/screenshot/1218/Tree_2166149.jpg
Another thing is the ground. It looks good, but it's a bit flat, couldn't you add 1px to make the tallest blades of grass look more 3D-ish?
The styles are fairy different, only the idea and design are same..
I don't think the tree is pillow shaded, but it does need more work (it wasn't even finished when I posted it), I updated it with some corrections on the shape :)

I think the old palette suits the style more. The tree leaves appear to be pillow shaded. :\
I love those clouds so much. It's also a really nice improvement over the older version. Nice skill change you got there.
