Looking better! I think the white band looks slightly misshapen now though.
Thank you so very much for the critique. I really appreciate it. Almost all of the colors are from DB's infamous palette, so all props to him. I'm still learning how to use AA properly and where to place it, but sometimes I go overboard or I use too little. I really have a rough time with it. The hat's white band is a great example of where I have no idea on how to apply it. Any who, I still gave it a shot on trying to correct it as well as the lack of AA on the underside of the eyebrows. I wasn't very sure on what to put between the red and light green on the blush to smooth it out. Most colors I tried fell flat, so I went with the gray which looked okay zoomed out.
@crozier, I still believe there's always room for improvement, especially in my case. I'm certainly going to keep on practicing, hopefully getting better! I love pixel pushing.
Cool idea. I'd say maybe there's too much AA around the hat, and too little in other areas (ie, undersides of the eyebrows)
Colours are very pleasant. Blue/gray AA between his blushing cheeks and the rest of his face might be a bit out of place, too. Not very noticeable to me unless I am zoomed in though.
No worries! It is already good!
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't continue practicing :D
Now if only I could execute it better. I just have to keep on practicing and hopefully I'll get better.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Yeah, I see what you mean. I'm having a very hard time fixing it, but still, I gave it a shot nonetheless. Feels slightly less rough to me now. I extended the bottom AA out a tad more and added one of the green colors to buffer between the lightest grey and white band.
Still feels slightly odd though.
