Isometric chess pieces are harder to make than I thought. And yes, it's a nerdy joke.

UPDATE: Rotated the cross on top of the king piece until it matched the isometric lines of the chess squares (less frontal now). To answer any questions, I drew the entire chess set then threw away the pieces I didn't need.

Aye, best move.

funcravers (Level 2 Hired Gun) at 2/24/2008 11:30:31 AM
@A.B.
No, i think you must be retarted. The black peice is equipped with a suicide vest.

Shrub (Level 1 Rookie) at 2/20/2008 12:03:16 PM
Wow, love the colours, shading, and the shiny board and pieces.

maunokki (Level 1 Rookie) at 2/18/2008 12:24:17 PM
Nice one!

cervical_lordosis (Level 1 Rookie) at 2/13/2008 5:33:28 AM
Great use of colors.

A.B. (Level 6 Serial Killer) at 12/10/2007 11:41:08 PM

If it's white's turn, it's stalemate, if it's black's turn, black can take the bishop and lose, or move one forward and it will end like stalemate.

Am i right? :D

Anyway, 6/6. Awsome use and choice of colours, and because of that, I'll fave it. :P

Tommy (Level 1 Private) at 12/3/2007 11:03:06 PM
Very good job! low amount of color, but great placement!

Kaiseto (Level 4 Button Man) at 4/12/2007 3:43:44 PM

murd3rkitty (Level 1 Depressed) at 11/14/2006 10:34:22 AM

Delicious.  Fine detail, great shading.  It all looks very cartoony... like something from a comic book.  (Hmm... wonder why?...)  Your work never fails to amaze me!

Mrmo Tarius (Level 3 Enforcer) at 10/31/2006 8:08:46 AM
A nerdy joke, but a mighty good looking nerdy joke :)

MFchris (Level 1 Depressed) at 4/26/2006 9:53:20 AM

Agaki (Level 2 Mercenary) at 4/1/2006 6:51:26 PM
I still dont get it.
Anyway, amazingness with 10 colours.

big brother (Level 8 Rear Admiral) at 1/30/2006 10:24:33 PM
Good call, Blick. In addition, the chess situation depicted here would be known as a "king pin" (absolute), since the bishop cannot legally be moved.

CDI (Level 5 Detective) at 1/30/2006 5:26:09 PM
dude... I totally get it... (not that I didn't before) but when it's all in the same place... wow great stuff, just noticed something, ONLY 10 colors!!! wow

Blick (Level 6 Commander) at 1/30/2006 5:24:01 PM
Okay guys, here's the joke. The Punisher's real name is Frank Castle and his enemy is Kingpin. The bishop piece is Howard Saint who is the one that ordered the massacre on the Castle family.

Hilarity ensues.

CDI (Level 5 Detective) at 1/30/2006 5:15:28 PM

that HAS to be a chess set, I'd buy it right away :D awsome *5 *fav

finite (Level 5 Sniper) at 1/30/2006 5:06:59 PM
