Adobe acquires Macromedia

Holy flirking shnit! Graphic powerhouses  Adobe and Macromedia are joining forces.  I wonder which apps will get favor under this new arrangement. Hmmmm.

I doubt it will be awesome... some good applications will be lost in the take over ( fireworks and maybe even dreamweaver ) and it will most likely result in an increase in price of macromedia tools if they adopt adobe's pricing. Less competion will result in a "microsoft" style position for the graphics sector - who's left out there as a big player... This can not be good for the users.
