Since there is a doll category being crafted at deviantART (that will hopefully, in turn, rid the pixel art gallery of non-pixel art compliant submissions -- trying to say it as nice as I can!) , running is a contest for a little 16x16 gallery icon for the section. Of course, there are some meaty subs (hungry?) as prizes.
The last few gallery icon-related contests proved to be a lot of fun with a high level of participation from both novice and seasoned pixel artists. Give it a go if you're up for a challenge!

I had a few minutes so I submitted an entry. For some reason I've not felt in the mood for large pixel drawings, so this icon was a good oppurtunity to still pixel!
