Traverse City Film Festival

News Details

There's a lovely little film festival in full swing right now in Traverse City, Michigan (full disclosure: I'm a native of Michigan).  Documentary director Michael Moore, Governor Jennifer Granholm and actor Jeff Daniels were on hand Monday to kick it off.  If you happen to be in northern Michigan there are still tickets for sale so come check it out.

My two big must-see movies for this week are Borat and The War Tapes.  Any other movies in the lineup look interesting?

It's not on the list but seeing all the Kubrick stuff and Wizard of Oz there it got me thinking I'd pay lots to see Errol Flynn's the Adventures of Robin Hood on the big screen.  I love that movie.
That Borat thing just worries me.  I truly hate Sacha Baron Cohen and his characters.  Everytime I see his damn stupid face on my TV I worry I'm gonna then not have a working TV anymore because I've gone and put my foot through it...

That is too cool, I was born in Traverse City, Michigan! Went to school at Kingsley though, which is a short drive away.
