Yeah, it looked out of place without being able to see the rest of it. It's shape is a bit different too, so I ended up removing it altogether. I edited the rock a tiny bit by putting a dark grey on the bottom to seperate it from the tile snow. It's meant to be snow covered, so it's meant to blend a tad bit. I'm still tinkering with snow covered trees, I'll post an example when I can of snow on a tree. Thanks for the feedback man, you've been a big help.
Hmmmm, it's odd. ONe one hand I like it, on the other I don't. It's consistent of theme, but doesn't add anything and feels slightly off but still the same sense of stylish. It is slightly jarring though so it's probably best left out. I was thinking maybe a blanket of snow on the tree, but that would make it blend in too much with the BG. =/
If crafty means the rock I can see kind of what she means, the top is good but the bottom still blends in and could probably use some darker hues and the grey.
ALso, something I didn't notice before, the thine single line cloud feels out of place. You have all these pretty fish shaped clouds and then that one. Also again, serious love for those fish clouds.
Are you talking about the snow covered rock majiggy?
I don't know. It does look a lot better than the way I was trying to add it, but it doesn't feel as good as the other trees. I think it's mostly do to the triangular shape of the tree compared to the square nature of the other. I don't know. Here's your tree in the scene. I think it's just a problem with the shape of the tree in general that throws it off for me a bit.
@Salah, I'm glad you like it.
- Very cute, only complaint/crit is that small tile"cut in half circle?" it blends a lot with the tiles around it -
@RIley - Oh, well then your dressed up sheep makes perfect sense.
For the tree, why not just keep it conformed to the shape of the tree tip like so:

It is a sheep dressed up as a reindeer. I was going to change his colors to brown, but then it looked as if I was trying to make it look like an actual reindeer rather than a sheep, so I decided to leave it white. As for the tree, I had the brown sticking out, but it made the tree look awkward since it's not square like the hill one. I'm just not sure on how to add it.
One thing that bothers me about the tree trunk is in the hill version you see the trunk sticking out the top and it makes it feel more complete (which is kind of odd) Maybe just try puting some of the browns into the tip.
Also, I thought the raindeer was a sheep at first. Maybe change it to brown. (not sure what you'd do with the antlers though)
Thank you for your thorough criticism. I edited the cave background tile to be darker, which does look visibly better than before. I changed the color around on the background tiles to make them a lil' stronger. The sky color won't change because it's constant through each piece.
I can't do anything about the rushed feeling you get. I reuse a lot of colors, so there's no doubt you'll find repeating colors used in different places, e.g. , the sky color in the ice and water.
Need more contrast in the cave/sky. Also need more change in hue between the ice/rocks/sky. The sky is the same hue as the foreground. It should be the same hue as the background, i.e less red more green. Maybe desaturate the foreground rock tiles a bit too? Anyway, compared to your last two sets this one feels rushed.
I'm glad you like it.
Yeah, I'm not sure on changing the tree trunk. It would probably be nice not having the same pattern all over the place, but it wouldn't be drastically different to be honest. I'll mess with it later and come up with a few more patterns to split of the repetitiveness of it.
I love everything in this except for the trunks for the pine trees. This is looking awsome!
I really liked this one!
