It was removed because it's not pixel art. This gallery is for pixel art only.

Man, your attitude is so infantile (you went as far as changing the description to give your opponents the middle finger) it hurts. You admit yourself that you "use a tablet and it is annoying to make small strokes". But that's precisely what pixel art is about, small strokes, the smallest ones that a display can capture! You're also saying that your style can develop into proper pixel art, which can only mean it is not pixel art RIGHT NOW and you're aware of this, yet keep posting these kind of drawings here!

And please, don't attempt to deconstruct and redefine the definition of pixel art, since it's painfully obvious you know nil about it. It's not a matter of style, it's a matter of execution. Realistic pixel art can coexist with anime style, news at eleven!

Look, keep your little scribbles up, I don't care, but, man, you're one obnoxious human being, you know that? Your first impression is terrible.

Believe it or not, but PJ staff are humans and make mistakes. There have been many instances of pictures being recalled on grounds of not being pixel art, even though someone had first accepted them.

And no, an opinion cannot be flawed, logic can. The only flawed thing here is your definition of oekaki, at least its extended definition that makes it clear how it differs from pixel art, a discussion we had so many times around here it's been done to death. Launching Paint and redrawing a sketch on a full screen canvas is not pixel art, no matter how you spin it. Sure, every single pixel artist here who does traditional art could start going your route and pixelize their drawings to post here. You know why they don't do it? Because that wouldn't be pixel art, just like your piece. Just because you went and cleaned up your lines a bit doesn't magically make it pixel art.

You're talking like it was you who approved it, and yet you're the author. Now THAT'S interesting.

But since you know full well this is not pixel art, but oekaki, why did you submit it to PixelJoint in the first place? And why do you not remove it now and post it somewhere it belongs, like dA?

This is oekaki, not pixel art. deviantArt is that way.

The only two things I'm not fond of are the random squares on the... outcrops? in the lower left and the protagonist's sprite which is really sub par, you should've left him out. The rest is ace.

Wow, so you took a picture, plagiarized it, and fooled 59 suckers into faving it? Good job, mate.

I have nothing against inspiration, but taking a photo or an art piece and copying it IN MAD PIXELZ SKILLZ (not!) without the author's permission does not make it OK even if you put a link to the original in the description. I thought that one was obvious and appropriate steps would have been taken by the staff upon submission of this. I guess I was wrong. And people comment on how well you did the metallics... Jesus Christ, is this the Twilight Zone?!

Right, all the inexperienced artists say that, I used to be like that too. That doesn't make the facts go away, though.

Smooth, but overanimated. Less is more, you know. There are also so many issues with the anatomy I can't be bothered to list them. An ambitious failure in my opinion.

Are you planning to ever draw something that's not a copy of someone else's work? Or will you forever remain an art parasite?

Because, you know, these inferior pixel art copies of posters and photos leave me completely cold. Even the palette's not yours...
