Check out this video of someone creating pixel art using only HTML tables. Could you possibly make it more complicated? Even MSPaint is more efficient.

This is just crazy.

It's easy enough to just write a converter from pixel to html. I think this guy just did it cause he figured nobody else would :D

onf of the points of pixel art is limiting yourself to a certain palette, canvas size, and in older days.. disk space was an issue. i don't think this html file would be smaller then a .gif or .png
ergo - useless..

Great! Did something like this long ago (but not to this extent, just some blocky fake-letters). Really cool dudes would use Javascript, an Array (for the pixels) and some ducument.write...
