Pixel Art Challenge: The Pillow Shading Challenge!
News Details
This week you are challenged to create something using the controversial pillow shading technique.
Canvas Size- Exactly 400 x 100.
Colours - Unrestricted. Because pillow shading can often require a large number of colours, we recommend saving your work in the .png file format this week, as .gif can only handle 256 colours.
Transparency - No.
Animation - No.

Yes, it is a bit early for an April Fools joke, but this is something that we thought would work better by pulling it off at the start of a challenge week.

Aw come on! I knew it was April Fools, but I was working on something really interesting.

So whats the real chalenge?
So is pillow shading where the light source comes from the front? And does everything in the entry have to be pillow shaded?
So bad, I must un-learn all the techniques I know to draw like a noob?
Don't think is a good idea to ask for PNG files and don't think somebody uses (need) more than 256 colors. If that happen I will suspect that image is just a color reduction pic.
Is that a joke? But its sure a challenge to draw stuff how I used to be 8 years ago. :/
This is what you can really call a challenge. I must try to do somethign for this challenge because of it's "weirdness" 8D

well, didnt see this coming. Now Im gonna need to think of a way to make pillow shading look good...
Also, pillowshading is used on sprites mostly. Using it on a scene (no trans?) would be very weird..
But oh well, the magenta challenge had some nice entries too

Pillowshading is ok, but did you know there once was a rule that you can not upload stuff with more than 265 colors? But the counter machine broke =)
Anyway, how about setting the limit to 265? Youd never need more if you do everything by hand.
