Those are some awesome equipment icons! I really enjoy the layout too. Heh, reminds me a little of Titan Quest, the way the equip system appears to work.

Look at great ... I like such works ... My favourites are boots ...
When I look at the shield, boots, armour and gloves, think that the gloves must be 1-2-3 pixels short or 1 glove must be in different direction, like the boots.
