Disney jacks 'Pirates' Ride and Hong Kong Disneyland Craziness

Disney plans to doll up the classic Pirates of the Carribean amusement park ride with new animatronic characters from the movies like Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp) and Barbossa (played by Geoffrey Rush).  It's been a couple years now since they updated the Haunted Mansion attraction with The Nightmare Before Christmas characters and although I'm a big fan of the Tim Burton classic, some of the changes crappified the excellent design of the origninal ride.  I hope the changes to Pirates are done without butchering the original artistry.

Another interesting Disney tidbit... the Chinese New Year brought eight straight sold out days to Hong Kong Disneyland and a whole slew of pissed off people.  Some people tried dropping their kids and jumping over spiked gates to get inside the theme park. Freaky.  Here's a video of the chaos.
