The contrast between skin and metal would be quite artistic. Also, gotta love them shorties.

 | big brother @ 11/20/2009 9:36:20 AM commented on Dine In Thanks for the commments! I like that Google ads suggests "fine dining" underneath the description.
Skamocore: I tried to tighten up the fugly dithering you mentioned. Let's see if Pixeljoint updates the pic. The palette seems more like a partial EGA than C64 to me, but I can see why it would remind you of the latter, especially considering the dark shades.
Tomic: I doubt this is beyond your skills. I definitely was inspired by your style for this piece and Swagga. The beer label was a happy coincidence.
Sharprm: It may indeed be a foot.
Yair: Is it too wobbly?
ElectroNico: Thanks for the compliments! The font was done by hand, no text tool.
Jamon: I've never eaten at this place, but I've walked past it a bunch. Would you recommend "cevapici" or will it kill me? :)

 | big brother @ 11/18/2009 4:47:15 PM commented on Birdeh I would make the grass more detailed to define the distance in the piece. Your tree looks beautiful, but its level of detail pulls that visual plane forwards towards the viewer. I hope this makes sense. Having some detailed grass at the bottom of the piece would help rectify this.
Love the colors and the subtlety you've worked into your textures! Good work.

The segmented approach to the atmospheric perspective on the grass is interesting. It makes it look like it was freshly mowed.

 | big brother @ 11/14/2009 7:37:10 PM commented on Warrior of Light You'll probably hate me for noticing this, but her hands and the angle of the scythe don't mesh. Her left hand is in front of the right hand, so it's closer to us, but the scythe seems flat on its side.
Don't hurt me. :)
I love the beautifully delicate rendering.

Great work, you really pushed this palette to its potential!

 | big brother @ 11/11/2009 3:32:11 PM commented on Hexquisite Two (Severe Nudity) The green acted as the smoothest intermediary value between the light gray and the orange. Plus I figured it wouldn't be bad if she looked a bit alien, since they're obviously on the moon. :)

 | big brother @ 10/25/2009 9:26:50 PM commented on Wrath on Street I think you could push this emotion a little farther. The car looks too ordinary and generic to be driving this manic force. It could add to the attitude of the piece if you added some personality to the car. Ed Roth's Rat Fink art might be a good reference. Great work otherwise!
